Ork-toberfest 2008Registrations Open! Queensland Gamers Guild Inc is pleased to announce that registrations fo Ork-toberfest 2008 are now being accepted. To register all you need to do is: 1. Register (if you are not already a member) on the website. 2. Either click this link http://www.qgginc.org.au/portal/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16&Itemid=51 or naviagate to the the Ork-toberfest page via the menu on the left. 3. Follow the instructions on the Ork-toberfest page. Please note that the final touches are still being put on the players packs and individual tournaments, so, other than what has already been released, further information on the specific tournaments is still unavailable. |

When: 25th and 26th October, 2008
Where: Aviation High Assembly Hall, 33 Widdop St., Clayfield, Brisbane
Orkaniser: Adam Norris (0434507555) Warhammer 40K
- 1750 points
- Special Characters allowed
- 5 rounds
- Cost: $45 ($40 for QGG members) Warhammer Fantasy
- 2250 points
- Pitched Battle
- 6 rounds
- Cost: $45 ($40 for QGG members) Lord of the Rings
- 900pts either Good OR Evil, min 5 models, max. 75 models
- Max of 3 forces can be allied as per Legions of Middle Earth
- 6 rounds
- Cost: $40 ($35 for QGG members) Blood Bowl
- 1 million gold. Greenskin teams will have an extra 100,000 gold & 1 free re-roll.
- Teams must start with 11 players.
- Inducements will be used and Star Players permitted.
- 6 round progressive tournament. LRB5 with no optional rules will be used.
- Cost: $35 ($30 for QGG members) Registrations and player packs will be online as of 1 August, 2008. As in previous years, event registrations will need to be made online. Just login to the site and follow the links at the top of the page. |

Games Day 2008 will be held at Aviation High at Clayfield, the same location as Games Night, The Big Weekend and Ork-toberfest. The day will start at 9:00am and wrap up at 5:00pm. Entry for the day is free for QGG members or $3.00 for non-members. You will need to show your QGG Membership card to get free entry. QGG has deceided to redesign the format of their Games Night in a Games Day event. Games Day will be held at Aviation High at Clayfield, the same location as Games Night, The Big Weekend and Ork-toberfest. QGG will be running various events at these Games Day’s as well as catering for social games. Games Day is open to all types of games and games systems, from RPG’s to CCG’s. If you wish to run an event please contact QGG with details of the event and the date you wish to hold your event. The dates for QGG Games Day 2008 are as follows:
